CHRIS HUTCHINSON

Owner, Christine Hutchinson opened Academy to success in 1999. Prior to Academy to Success, Mrs. Hutchinson was Assistant Director/Curriculum Coordinator at another South Tampa Childcare Center. She has also been a classroom teacher for all age groups, from Infants all the way up to school-age children. All together, her child care experience totals more than 45 years!
Christine began her child care career at her parents' schools, Tom & Gerry's Child Care Center and Armenia Nursery in the 1970's. After spending many years there, she went on to other child care centers in the area adding her expertise wherever she went. Her love for children encouraged her to obtain her Child Development Associate (CDA) degree. With her CDA, Chris became a valuable commodity in child care. She taught for a few more years and then moved into administration, where she learned the business end of child care and earned her Director's credential in 2000. Chris joined the National Association of Child Care Professionals and served on their board as well as locally with Hillsborough Early Childhood Association.
